.. Treats balls

Available to buy in pet shops & vets, treats balls offer good stimulation for cats.

The toys can hold plenty of dry cat biscuits & dispense them as your cat persue's & paws the ball around.

With adjustable openings, the balls offer rewarding games that can help to satisfy instincts.

Cats can hunt the balls, play with them, batt them with their paws & scavenge fort tasty rewards.

Your cat may not understand the game immediately, but after rolling it around for them & showing them how to get their treats, they will soon be dribbling the ball around the floor (encourage them try it themselves as much as possible, or they will think that getting you to do it is how it works). Individuals learn the game at different rates, sometimes it can take repeated demonstrations on numerous occasions while others will catch on immediately.

Leave them alone to figure it out for themselves, once they understand the potential.

It can be useful to teach attention seeking or food motivated cats the game, so you can keep them occupied while you are busy.

The apertures of the treats balls are adjustable, so you can make the game easy or hard (easy during training) & low fat food is available to prevent weight gain. (If diet is an issue, the biscuits you load the balls with can be taken from their main meals)

Tip: Always pick up & put away disgarded feeder balls, preferably before they are even empty

that way whenever one appears rattling in your hand it will always capture your cats attention, they will not have become bored of the toy whilst trying to extract treats to no avail.

If they haven't seen the treats ball for a long while, it may take a little reminding.
