Little Pookie was found as a stray after her owner had died. The family members did not make sure Pookie was looked after and just left her in the house with the occasional bowl of biscuit put down. No change of litter tray.
A neighbour alerted her to us. She has seen for sale sign going up and wondered what would happen to her!
Unfortunately, for some reason, her behaviours towards humans was to attack when approached. This is probably the results of mis treatment!
Her life at Romney is very happy as long as we don't fuss her too much. We hope one day she will trust us enough to give her a big cuddle. We won't rush her.

Rocky has been resident at Romney house for 12 years!
He came from a multi cat household , as a small sick kitten.
The RSPCA had cleared the cats from a home where owners had been evicted.
We are not sure how long the cats had been in the home alone, but they were in a very bad way.
Rocky came with his sister remie . Were traumatised, scared , and not socialised.
It took us some time, in fact six months, to be able to have first touch of Rocky.
Slowly his courage and trust grew, so did his beautiful looks!
He now is like a lion! In charge.
He does not like other cats too much but with humans, he shows off and shows his tummy, but don't touch!!

Jet

Jet came in as a stray with a badly infected eye.  We spent quite a time trying to treat it, but nothing worked and it seemed kinder to have it removed.  Jet lives happily with the other cats now although she is still a bit spooked if you approach from her blind side.

Bubbles

Bubbles came to us as a tiny kitten with his mum.  He never found a suitable home so has been let out with the other cats.  But now he has started to come out of his shell.  He is still a bit shy, but when coaxed (usually with a bit of chicken) he
loves to be petted.
