..* Microchip your cat! *

Microchips can be vitally important if your cat gets lost or has an accident.

They are equally as important to indoor cats, one tiny slip up & you may lose an animal who has no idea what to do once they are outside. These animals can so easily be spooked, panic & bolt, or just preoccupied with the exciting new sights smells & sounds, lose themselves completely.

So many cats find themselves in rescue centers without a microchip, even expensive breed cats who have been clearly kept indoors all their lives are often rescued with no chip!

Even if you are certain your cat will never get out or go astray there are no guarantees, why take un-necesary risks with their lives

Microchips are tiny implants that are usually injected under a cats skin around their neck that cause no harm or discomfort to the animals. This area has fewer nerve endings & is especially insensitive to the "Jab" of a needle, as the scruff has developed for mother cats to pick kittens up with her (sharp) teeth.

(full grown cats should not be picked up unsupported by the scruff of their neck, simply as the weight of their adult bodies can cause them discomfort or harm)

The microchip injection takes seconds & your vet can perform the procedure during a routine visit if you ask them to, your cat probably won't even notice it happen & won't know it is there.

It is far better to be safe than to risk being sorry!

The misery of a missing pet that never comes home is terrible, that animal may have been rescued & re-homed & you would never know.

For an Example of how cats can so easily become accidentally be lost, & relocated because of their microchips, please see Mogs adventure & Tiggers travels

Roughly the size of a grain of rice, microchips cause no problems or discomfort but they can save a cats life!!
